Garden Tractor Seats
|
If you spend any time sitting on a garden tractor, you will realize how vital it is to have good garden tractor seats in place. There have been many changes over the recent years in the development of tractor seats. In the earlier days, seats were made of steel and had holes in them. They were fairly confortable because they were placed on either leaf spring or coil springs that absorbed a good but of the shock. Today the tractor seats are more advanced and very high tech.
The basic seats are quite rigid and are constructed of a vinyl cover with foam underneath, and at the other end of the spectrum, you will be able to get air ride memory foam seats. What you choose will depend on a combination of what you are looking for in seats and the amount of time you will spend in the seats, and the amount you want to spend. An item as small as the tractor seat can make a great difference in your comfort and productivity while using your garden tractor. The seats that come with the modern tractors have healthy, functional and comfortable seats that are designed to not wear out. When it is time to replace the seat, you may replace it with an stock original seat, or look for an upgrade that will be better suited to your needs.
Given the type of machine you are placing the new seat in, you can get a raising armrest to gain easy access, or you may even have a swivel seat. When buying a replacement seat it is important to buy one that is made for the mounting system of the particular tractor you are dealing with, unless you to plan to modify the seat or the tractor for a different fit.
